My approach to therapy is relational, curious, and depth-focused.
I use a blend of modalities to ensure a warm and responsive environment, which you can read about here. I encourage folks to attune to themselves from an anti-oppressive, anti-capitalist ethos. People aren't problems to be solved but rather an embodiment of experiences wanting to happen; our task is to re-humanize ourselves with one another and to re-member ourselves in this world. This is my north star in our work together.
We may be a good fit if you want to…
experience a greater sense of authenticity in your life and relationships.
foster a sense of belonging and connection to the world around you.
find relief from shame, self-hatred, and self-judgment.
increase your capacity for emotional and physical intimacy.
experience greater internal calm, safety, and settling.
establish assertiveness and healthy boundaries.
explore underlying conflicts driving habits and patterns you’d like to shift.
develop a greater capacity to trust yourself.
I work with adults (ages 18+) and offer telehealth services only at this time.
I accept United, Aetna, and BCBS PPO plans, as well as self-pay clients. I hold limited availability for uninsured individuals paying out of pocket at a reduced rate. Please let me know if this is an access need for you. If you are an uninsured sex worker, please visit Pineapple Support for up to 16 free or subsidized sessions with me.

You may have experienced complex trauma if your history includes physical or psychological abuse, sexual violence, chronic emotional neglect, sudden or violent loss, and/or prolonged exposure to loved ones with mental illness or addiction.
Often, our adaptations to complex trauma can present as chronic anxiety, shame, rumination, aggressive ideation toward self and others, self-harm, fear/distrust of intimacy and relationships, low self-esteem, chronic suicidality, and persistent dissociative processes.

Severe, life-threatening experiences in early life can lead one to experience conflicting impulses inside. Some people experience an internal fragmentation in their sense of self, internal voices, auditory/visual hallucinations, and may lose time in daily life. At its core, dissociative processes are a brilliant adaptation to impossible dilemmas in early life. I enjoy working with clients to develop more congruent and compassionate internal communication.

I particularly enjoy supporting other care workers in my practice (i.e., therapists, social workers, direct support professionals, EMT/hospital workers, educators, activists and community organizers).

I am a certified NARM therapist, which is an embodied approach that addresses early attachment and relational trauma (complex PTSD). NARM is a depth-oriented model that centers exploration on what is getting in the way of a person’s deepest intention and impulse toward well-being. As a NARM therapist, I orient towards building capacity rather than symptom reduction.

With an IFS-informed approach, I invite all parts of you into the space with curiosity and radical hospitality. IFS holds true the multiplicity of the self, in which we find harmony inside by appreciating the complexity of our humanness.
-
With Level 1 training in SP, I draw on somatic (body-based) interventions to support clients in exploring survival defenses, beliefs, and resources as they manifest in the nervous system and impulses.

Harm Reduction seeks to minimize the damaging social and physical consequences of human behavior, and refers to a range of practices and public health policies. Health exists on a continuum, and I hold a deep respect for each person's right to self-determination.
